19) TROUBLESHOOTING

Suspected malfunctions are often due to causes that the users can fix themselves. Therefore 

check the product using this section. In most cases the problem can be solved quickly.

WARNING!

 

Only perform the steps described within these instructions! All further inspection, 

maintenance and repair work must be performed by an authorised service centre or 

qualified electrician.

Product does not start

Not connected to power supply.
Power cord or plug is defective.
Other electrical defect to product
Lock-off button not pressed.

Connect to power supply.
Check by a specialist 

electrician.
Press lock-off button first, 

then the on/off switch.

Product does not      

reach full power

Extension cord not suitable for 

operation with this product.
Power source (e.g. generator) has 

too low voltage.
Air vents are blocked.

Use a proper extension cord.

Connect to another power 

source.
Clean the air vents.

Product does not cut

Not connected to power supply.
Blade is worn or damaged.
Bevel and mitre angle incorrectly 

adjusted.

Connect to power supply.
Replace blade.
Check and adjust the angle.

Unsatisfactory result

Blade is worn or damaged.
Blade not suitable for material.
Cutting angle is incorrect.

Replace with a new one.
Use proper blade.
Adjust the bevel or mitre 

cutting angle.

Excessive vibration/

noise or exhaust

Blade is worn or damaged.
Bolts/nuts are loose.

Replace with a new one.
Tighten bolts/nuts.
