12) MAKING CROSS CUTS AND RIP CUTS

WARNING: ALWAYS clamp and support workpiece securely, ALWAYS maintain proper

control of Multi Saw. Failure to clamp and support workpiece and loss of control of Multi

Saw could result in serious injury.
ALWAYS hold the Multi Saw firmly before starting.
WARNING: ALWAYS maintain proper control of the Multi Saw to make swing safer and

easier. Loss of control of the Multi Saw could cause an accident resulting in possible

serious Injury.

1) When making cross or rip cuts, align your line of cut with the centre of the “V” notch

located on the front of the Multi Saw’s base (Fig 6).
2) Since the thickness of blades varies, MAKE A TRIAL CUT in scrap material along the

guideline to determine how much, if any, you should offset the blade from the guideline to

allow for the curve of the blade to get an accurate cut.

MAKING RIP CUTS

ALWAYS use a guide when making long or wide rip cuts with your Multi Saw. You can use the

edge guide that is included with your Multi Saw.

13) INSTALLING AND USING THE EDGE GUIDE (Fig 7)

WARNING: ALWAYS unplug Multi Saw before making any adjustments. Failure to

unplug the Multi Saw could result in accidental start which can cause serious personal

injury.

Your Multi Saw comes with an edge guide. It allows you to make accurate parallel cuts when

trimming a workpiece. It attaches to the Multi Saw’s base. The arm of the edge guide is

stamped,  0 to 17 centimeters for easy adjustment of your cut.
1) Unplug the Multi Saw.
2) Position the edge guide so the arm can slide into the mounting slots at the front of the

Multi Saw’s base, and loosen the retaining screw.
3) Adjust the edge guide to the desired length of cut.
4) Tighten the edge guide retaining screw.
5) Clamp and support the workpiece securely before making your cut.
6) Place the edge guide firmly against the edge of the workpiece. Doing this will help give you

a true cut without pinching the blade.
7) BE SURE that the guiding edge of the workpiece is straight, so you can produce a straight

 cut.
8)

ALWAYS LET THE BLADE REACH FULL SPEED,

then carefully guide the Multi Saw into

the workpiece. Push the Multi Saw forward at a speed where the blade is not laboring.
