5.4 Dryer Function Overview

Compressor

Compresses drawn in ambient air.

Precooler

Cools compressed air prior to drying function.

Unloader Valve

Relieves excess compressor head pressure.

Heatless Dryer

Removes moisture from compressed air.

Capacity Control Valve

Regulates system pressure and prevents air from
bleeding back through the heatless dryer.

Safety Relief Valve

Prevents system from over pressurizing by
releasing at high pressure.

Air Tank

Stores dry compressed air.

Humidity Sensor

Measures the humidity of the compressed air.

F-Type Valve

Provides a point to test system Humidity with an
external tester.

10 Outlet Pressure Regulator
