Overhaul
•
The pump must be overhauled even though it operates properly. In continuous or repeated
operation, the pump may need to be overhauled earlier.
NOTE:
For pump overhaul, contact a Pumpa a.s. service centre.
8.1 Storage
If the pump will not be used for a long time, take it out, let it dry and store it inside.
NOTE:
Before reinstalling, start the pump for a test run. If the pump remains submerged in water, run it regularly
(i.e., once a week) to prevent rust from blocking the impeller.
9 Troubleshooting
DANGER:
Danger of injury. Do not repair the control panel if it is live. Electrical repairs must be done by a qualified
electrician to avoid serious injury, death and/or property damage.
WARNING:
Always disconnect the pump from the power supply before repairs to avoid serious injury due to
unexpected starting.
Read this manual carefully before requesting repairs. If the pump does not operate properly after
rechecking, contact a Pumpa a.s. service centre.

No power (i.e., power failure)
Contact your electricity supplier or electrical service.
Open circuit or improperly connected cable. Check the cable or wire for a disconnected circuit.

Blocked impeller
Check the pump and remove the obstruction.
Voltage drops
Correct the voltage to match the rated voltage or use an extension
cable that meets the standards.
Failure of circuit thermal protection or
protection device
Replace or adjust
The 50 Hz model is operated at 60 Hz.
Check nameplate and replace pump or impeller.
The strainer is clogged, and the pump has
been running empty (dry) for a long time.
Remove the obstruction.
Abnormal motor operation.
Repair the motor or replace it with a new one.
Pump is drawing in too much sediment.
Place a concrete block under the pump to prevent it from picking
up sediment.
Pump delivery
height and
pumped volume
are low.
Worn impeller or suction cover.
Replace.
Hose may be bent or blocked.
Reduce the number of hose bends to a minimum. (In areas with
large amounts of debris, place the pump in a mesh basket.)
Pump isn't submerged enough and is sucking
in air.
Submerge the pump deeper so that it is completely under the
surface.
Check that the check valve is open.
Open the check valve.
Strainer is clogged or covered with debris.
Remove the obstruction. Place a concrete block under the pump to
prevent it from picking up sediment.
Motor running backwards.
Swap the connections of the power terminals.
