6 Operation
Safety measures
DANGER:
In case of maintenance or any work on the pump, check that it is disconnected from power supply
and will not be turned on.
WARNING:
Never start the pump without installing the safety features.
Never start the pump with a blocked delivery hose or with the delivery valve closed.
Make sure you have the space to step back.
Never work alone.
CAUTION:
If the pump is provided with an automatic level control and/or internal contactor, there is a risk of
sudden restarting.
Electrical hazards:
Risk of electric shock. This device has not been tested for use in swimming pools. Special safety
regulations apply for use in swimming pools.
6.1 Before start-up
WARNING:
•
Incorrect voltage and frequency of the power supply will prevent the pump from reaching its full potential
and may also cause overheating, electric shock or fire.
•
Recheck the pump nameplate to verify that the pump voltage and frequency are correct.
•
Check wiring, supply voltage, leakage current circuit breaker capacity and motor insulation resistance.
ATTENTION:
•
Insulation resistance reference value ≥ 30 MΩ. Test procedure can be found on page 14
•
Adjust the surge protector (i.e., circuit breaker) setting according to the rated current of the pump.

Check the rated current on the pump nameplate.
