4.6 STEP 4 – Selecting the communication mode.

 

Communication  with  the  RS485-WiFi  interface  is  possible  in  various  modes.  The  selection  is  made  by 

choosing  the  appropriate  profile  in  the  web  browser  of  the  interface  and  configuring  appropriate  parameters.  The 
profile selection must be made on the basis of LAN connection between interfaces and power supply units taking 
part in the communication.  
 

4.6.1 Communication in WLAN/WAN network.

The  topology  of  the  network  is  based  on  wireless  Wi-Fi  router  connected  to  another  PSU  segments 

(connected  in  the  RS485  bus)  via  the  RS485-WiFi  interface.  Each  interface  has  a  static  IP  address. 
Communication  between  a  PC  and  the  final  PSU  is  by  giving  the  IP  address  of  the  interface,  the  address  of  the 
PSU in the RS485 network and the number of the port responsible for the communication. 
 

If the foregoing topology has been chosen, proceed to chapter 'TCP Sockets profile settings' to make the 

configuration of the interfaces.
