The limiter serves as an additional clipping protection to avoid speaker damage. The signal level is always
limited to the adjusted threshold-level.
If the limiter will be adjusted to e.g. +2,0 dB the output signal level Limit corresponds to +2 dB and the levels
-3, -6, -12 and -48 dB correspond -1, -4, -10 und -46 dB.
In most cases, it is sufficient to adjust the threshold-value to the clipping level of the connected amplifier.
Nevertheless make sure that the amplifier does not distort.
THRES – Limiter threshold.
Ranges from -20 to +20 dB in 0.5 dB steps.
ATTACK – Attack time setting
Ranges from 0.3 to 1 ms in 0.1 ms steps, then ranges from 1 to 100 ms in 1 ms steps.
RELEASE – Release time setting
Can be set at 2x, 4x, 8x, 19x or 32x the attack time.
5. Source Menu
1, 2, 3, 4
Input vhannel source for the current output channel. Can be set to enable (On) or disable (Off) it. If more
than one source are enables, they will be added together as the source for the current output channel.
6. Ch-Name – Channel Name Menu
NAME
Channel name. Can be maximum 6 characters in length.
