Bar Code Symbologies – Descriptions
MSI Plessey
Minimum and Maximum Length
The length of a code refers to the number of characters (i.e., human readable characters), in-
cluding check digit(s). Double-tapping on these parameters displays a screen in which you
can set the minimum and maximum allowable code lengths –
2 to 60.

Enabled
Set this parameter to on to enable MSI.
Enable Plessey
Set this parameter to on to enable Plessey.
Check Char
When this parameter is set to on , the integrity of a “MSI Plessey” symbol is checked to
ensure that it complies with specified algorithms.

able code lengths –

Set this parameter to on to enable “Code 11”.
Check Digits
Double-tapping on this parameter displays a dialog box in which you can choose One Check
Digit or Two check digits .
If this parameter is set to One Check Digit , it is assumed that the last digit is a check digit. If
it is set to Two Check Digits , it is assumed that the last two digits are check digits.
