Hydraulic resistance system
The hydraulic resistance system is available with mechanical control. The resistance is adjusted via
adjusting wheels with scaling attached to the piston. In this case, there are two wheels for adjusting the
load in the case of bidirectionally acting devices and one wheel in the case of unidirectionally acting
devices. This enables a differentiated load graduation with antagonistic operation.
The load range is focused on the area of strength endurance training. With this resistance system, the
load intensity is directly related to the speed of the movement performed. The faster the training speed,
the greater the load on the exerciser. This must be taken into account during training. Explosive training
should be avoided in any case.

Details of the hydraulic resistance system
The mechanical control of the resistance is done by two adjusting dials for bi-directional devices and by
one adjusting dial for unidirectional devices (functional vertical/hip extensors left and right). The
resistance scaling ranges from 1-6. The range of resistance allows training from 1 (very light) to 6 (very
heavy) for the normal population of women. Training with this resistance system is specifically designed
for strength endurance training. Training in higher strength ranges is possible. Maximum strength
training on the machines is not intended and, due to the limited maximum resistance setting, is only
possible for a small number of exercisers and only on some machines. The average setting range 2-3 is
based on the average performance of middle-aged women.
Attention: Do not operate the adjustment wheels (silver) for load
adjustment during training or movement of the resistance system
(damper)!
An increased training speed also leads to an increased sensation of
exertion during training.
