This engine uses a chrome plated brass sleeve with a tapered cylinder wall. When the engine
is cold, the piston will feel tight when rotated through the top of its stroke, or Top Dead
Center (TDC). This is normal. The cylinder will expand and will achieve correct clearance once
normal operating temperature has been reached.
NOTE:
When this engine is new, DO NOT try to turn the crankshaft and rotate the piston
through TDC, as this will jam the piston in the cylinder.

until it stops. This is the fully closed
position. Do not force it to turn further.

Rotate the low speed needle until the head
sticks out 0.5mm from the ball link body.
This is the standard position.
Ball Link
First rotate the mid needle until its slotted
head is flush with the carburetor body. This is the
standard position.
5.5 turns out. Make adjustments with the slide in the open position.
2¾ turns out. Make adjustments with the slide in the open position!
Dirt and dust may lodge in marked places
