•  Before starting the engine, verify that all fasteners, especially those at joints and

moving parts (such as the throttle arm) are tight and secure. Loose fasteners are
often the source of catastrophic problems and could lead to injury or property
damage.

•  To stop the engine during normal operation, reduce the throttle to neutral, flip the

car over and push a blunt rubber object against the flywheel.

•  To stop the engine in the event of an emergency, use a blunt rubber object to

plug the exhaust and flood the engine (recommended), or cut off the fuel supply by
pinching the fuel delivery line from the fuel tank. In the event of an emergency DO
NOT attempt to stop the engine at the flywheel.

•

WARNING!

Immediately after a glow type engine has been shut off, while the

engine is still warm, conditions exist that make it possible for the engine to abruptly
re-start if the piston is rotated through the compression point (top dead center:
TDC), WITHOUT the glow plug igniter being connected.
