Check the technical condition of hub cover, if necessary replace with new one. Inspection of

bearing play may only be conducted, when the trailer is hitched to a tractor, and the loading

case is empty.

5.2.4 ADJUSTMENT OF AXLE BEARINGS PLAY

Preparation procedures

Prepare a tractor and the trailer for adjustment procedures according to

description provided in section 5.2.3.

Remove the hub cover (1) – figure (5.2).

Remove cotter pin (3) securing the castellated nut (2).

Tighten castellated nut in order to eliminate play.

Wheel should rotate with insignificant resistance.
