If the wall is drywall, use toggle bolts (P/N 10432). To use the toggle
bolts, insert the bolts through the holes in the bracket, as shown (Fig.
20). Then, thread the toggle onto the bolt, as shown (Fig. 21). Insert the
toggles into the hole in the wall and tighten. Note: the screw might have
to be manually pulled away from the wall while tightening, in order for
the toggle to bite into the back of the drywall.

If the wall is concrete, use wedge stud anchors (P/N 10438). To use
wedge stud anchors, tap them into the drilled holes so that the
threaded stud is facing out. Place the bracket over these studs and
thread on the nuts, ensuring that the washer is between the nuts and
the bracket.
4. Mount the duct body (P/N 10424) onto the top of the fan. Use a level
to make sure the body is situated vertically. Slip another mounting
bracket around the body, about 12” up from the bottom of the body. Mark
the holes. (Fig. 22)
5. Slip another mounting bracket around the body, about 12” down from
the top of the body. Mark the holes.
6. Remove the brackets and body from the wall. Drill the marked holes,
as described in instruction #3.
7. Make sure the reducer (P/N 10426) is attached to the elbow
(P/N 10425), and that the elbow is attached to the body. Turn the
elbow so that the reducer is pointing up at about a 45-degree angle.
(Fig. 23)
8. Mount the body/elbow/reducer assembly to the wall, using the brackets
and either toggle bolts or wedge stud anchors. Make sure the bent
aluminum tube is pointing in the direction of the unit, and that the elbow
and reducer point towards the center of the room. (Fig. 23)
