3.4 FUNCTION MODE
1. Press the MODE button to enter the main menu and scroll using UP/DOWN to select
FUNCTION MODE
, then
press ENTER button.
2. Use UP/DOWN button to select:
SET DMX ADDRESS - VALUE DISPLAY - AUTO PROGRAM - MUSIC CONTROL
.
3. Press the ENTER button to confirm the selection.
4. Press the MODE button to go back or to meet the waiting time to exit the setup menu.
DMX addressing -
[SET DMX ADDRESS]

In the
SET DMX ADDRESS
mode, press UP/DOWN button to select the desired value (
A001 - A512
) and for
setting the DMX address; but hold the UP/DOWN button to scroll quickly.

Press ENTER button to confirm the selection.
Value display -
[VALUE DISPLAY]

In the
VALUE DISPLAY
mode you can display the DMX value of each channel. The display automatically
shows the channel with a value changing.
Auto mode -

mode you can run the internal programs .

Music mode -

In
MUSIC CONTROL
mode, via its integrated microphone, the unit can be controlled by music with a
clear rhythm in the bass range. If the music control should not work optimally, increase the volume
or reduce the distance between the sound source and the light effect unit.

NOTE
The
Master
mode will allow you to link up the units together without a controller. The first unit will be
set as master and the others will operate as slave with the same effect. Use connectors of the DMX
SLASH and an XLR cable to form a chain of units. In some conditions and lengths is recommended that
a termination as illustrated on page 14.
Set on the slave units: "001" as the DMX address and "fine resolution" as channel configuration.
Instead, must set
Alone
mode if choose to use the SLASH as a single unit, because in this mode is
disabled the output DMX.
3.5 DMX ADDRESSING
For operation via light control unit with DMX512 protocol, is sufficient connect the controller to SLASH
(NOTE - The flashing display indicated no DMX signal). SLASH is equipped with different DMX configura-
tion. The tables on page 15 indicate the operating mode and DMX value. The SLASH is equipped with 3/5-
pole XLR connections. To able to operate the SLASH with a light controller, adjust the DMX start address for
the first a DMX channel. If e. g. address 33 on the controller is provided for controlling the function of the
first DMX channel, adjust the start address 33 on the SLASH. The other functions of the light effect panel
are then automatically assigned to the following addresses.
