To avoid an inaccurate measurement:
• Switch on the thermometer by pressing the O/I button
• After one beep is heard (and the temperature scale icon is flashing), straighten the ear canal by gently
pulling the middle of the ear back and up,
• Place the probe firmly into the ear canal, press the Start button and keep the probe in the ear until the
thermometer beeps to identify the completion of the measurement.
The Ear Thermometer TH 1DB1-1 has been clinically tested and proven to be safe and accu-
rate when used in accordance with its operating instruction manual.

shown for 2 seconds.
The last reading will be shown
on the display automatically for
2 seconds.
The unit is ready tor the mea-
surement, the
°C or °F icon will
keep flashing.
The reading will be shown on
the LCD display with the
°C or
°F icon flashing, the unit is
ready again for the next mea-
surement.
When the unit is turned on, the
battery icon will keep flashing
to remind the user to replace
the batteries.
