●
Close main clamp completely. Make sure, at least about 30 mm of cylinder lift is still available on the
main clamping cylinder in order to exert real clamping pressure to the layer of paver with main clamp,
even when there are slight tolerances in the pavers.
Recommendation:
●
When having poor quality, packaging mostly caused by weak pallets. It
can happen that pavers which are shifted into running bond directly on
top of the pack, are falling down on the sides because they are not
supported any more. In this case pick up layer without shifting them,
position them on the ground and do the shifting on the ground.
●
If necessary, for example when laying pressure-sensitive pavers, such as grit pavers, the hydraulic
clamping pressure can be adjusted at the pressure relieve valve (setting J). Turning this valve anti-clock-
wise, the pressure can be reduced to about 80 bar. Pressure can be checked on the manometer.
●
Open side clamp completely.
Recommendation:
●
Having poor quality pavers in regard to the gripping security (layer tends
to bend down in the middle when being gripped and sometimes the
complete layer collapses) it is recommended to let the side clamping in
the closed position and only open the side clamp just before laying the
pavers down.
●
Lift up HVZ-uni slowly.
●
If the gripped layer bends down in the middle too much, stop the first
gripping trial.
●
Due to the poor quality in regard to the gripping security, the gripping
depth has to be increased (see 5.2.2)
●
Increase the gripping depth step by step until a secure gripping of the
layer is possible (4.5.3). If required, the quality of the pavers in regard to
the gripping quality can be checked by building up a tower as described
in 4.5.2.
●
When the tower tends to fall over, contact the maver manufacturer and
supplier of the laying clamp.
●
Simulate laying reality by abrupt lifting and lowering actions with a
gripped layer of pavers. If the pavers fall out, increase the gripping depth
again.
