MOUNT TOOL ON A WOOD WORKBENCH
The hardware to mount the tool is not included. If securing with bolts
instead of screws, follow the
Mount Tool on a Pedestal
. When drilling
the mounting holes in the workbench use a 5/16 in. bit.
1. Clean the work area where the tool will be mounted.
2. Position the tool, check that it will be level and there are no
obstructions around it that will interfere with a long workpiece.
3. Drill a 3/8 in. pilot hole for each screw. Use the tool’s mounting
holes as a template (Fig. 2).
4. Slide a flat washer over a 5/16 x 1 in. wood screw and secure the
tool in place.
5. Repeat with two more screws. Tighten all screws until the gap
between the tool and the bench top is 1/8 in.
REMOVING AND INSTALLING BLADES
1. Flip the ON/OFF switch (H) to the OFF position and remove the
yellow key (Operations - ON/OFF Switch with Key).
2. Turn the blade tension lever (Q) counterclockwise to loosen the
saw blade.
3. Lift the blade guard (B).
4. Remove the table insert (M).
5. Remove the saw blade (O) from the upper mounting arm by
pushing down slightly on the upper rocker arm (P).
6. Remove the blade from the lower blade holder.
7. Install the new blade with the teeth pointing downward. The blade
can be installed with the teeth facing the tool’s front or the right
side, based on the type of cutting you intend to do.
8. Pin-End Saw Blade - Insert the pin-end saw blade into the blade
slot’s V-grove in the lower blade holder. Then insert the upper pin-
end into the blade slot’s V-groove of the upper blade holder.
9. Plain-End Saw Blade
9.1 Insert the saw blade (Fig. 3-3) into the plain-end adapters
(Fig. 3-1) with the teeth visible through the front holes. (Fig. 3-2).
