Caution:
To avoid possible alternator/battery damage on twin-engine installations, make
sure that the dual battery switches are never left so both engines are connected together,
(i.e., never leave a switch on “BOTH” or “ALL” or “1 and 2”). The preferred switch
position is port engine to position one (1) on the port battery switch and starboard engine
to position two (2) on the starboard battery switch.
•
Place all the switches in the off position.
•
Turn both ignition keys on and ensure that the engines
will not turn over.
•
Turn the port battery switch to the one (1) position on
the switch and turn the port ignition key to start the port
engine.
•
Turn off the port engine ignition key and the port battery
switch.
•
Turn the starboard battery switch to the two (2) position
on the switch and turn the starboard ignition key to start
the starboard engine.
•
Never switch battery positions while the engines are
running.
To ensure that both battery switches will turn off, place both switches in the off position and try to start up
the engines. When both switches are off, you should not be able to start either engine.
If the breaker continues to trip and you are certain the device, switch and wiring are in good repair; either
the breaker is faulty or it is too small for the load. Reduce the load or replace the breaker.
Generator – 2.5 kw Diesel - Limited Amp Capacity (Optional)
If you have selected the optional generator, it is installed in the aft area of the bilge. The generator
comes equipped with a 5-gallon fuel tank installed in the bilge and with a remote generator control panel
and an hour meter that are installed next to the AC/DC panel in the cabin.
Warning: The generator installed on this boat has a
limited amp capacity
and may not
run multiple appliances at the same time. Exceeding the maximum will cause the
generator to shut down. Refer to the generator owner’s manual for more information.
