Trident™ RGB Wiring (Using the TridentRGB add-on board)
The idea is the same than a single color cross-guard but uses a remotely controlled
add-on board in charge of the quillons. The board is similar to a set of Power
Extenders and will take care of driving the 3 RGB channels of the secondary blade.
For this particular case, the main blade uses channels 1, 2 and 3 (with or without a
Color Extender) which drive the LED dice normally.
On PC and Prizm, since there's only 3 color channels, we dedicate an accent LED to
the control of the TridentRGB board.
The 3 drive signals are also sent to the TridentRGB board along with the board accent
LED 4 which is delayed (
tridentm=1000
). The output of the addon board then drive
the quillon LEDs. It can be seen as a on-off pass-thru system (with no the progressive
ramp up, a Crystal Focus and its 4th channel is required for this).

Trident™ Flickering and special effects
The Trident engine allows also a couple of special effects to give the quillons a unique
style and feel.
Along with the whole "unstable blade" look, Trident proposes a dedicated flicker depth
parameter (
tridentflk
) which can increase the unstable effect on the quillons delayed
channels (set with tridentm). This will works only on the single color (non RGB)
version as there is no remote progressive channel on this board.
A second effect specific to the quillons is their ignition time using the
tridentquick
parameter. When non zero it defines in multiple of 2ms the duration of the ignition
ramp of the Trident channels in the case the user would prefer a rather quick(er)
ignition before the power on sound ends.
