4. OPERATION
4.1 Before Use Checklist:
1.
Make sure to wear all necessary PPE (per the environment and SDS of any chemical solutions) when
handling the HydroCleaner.
2.
If system was not depressurized after last use, the spray gun may be pressurized.
3.
With the HydroCleaner unplugged, inspect hosing, valves, fittings, spray gun, and tank for any signs of
damage and make sure connections are tight. Lift to open the top access panel to inspect internal
equipment.
a.
If any signs of wear, degradation, etc., to hosing or fittings, replace with manufacturer’s part.
Do NOT replace parts on the tank. This is a pressurized system and must be repaired by the
manufacturer only. Contact for assistance.
4.
Inspect electrical cord and plug for any signs of damage. Replace as needed.
5.
DO NOT USE IF ANY DEFECTS ARE FOUND.
6.
Make sure the pump maintenance is up to date. Maintenance listed below.
a.
Check the pump crankcase oil level daily before use.
i.
For HydroCleaner models with skin, remove the side wall to access the oil cover.
ii.
Remove the pump oil cover (see Figure 4.1.1) to access the oil dipstick to check the
level.
iii.
If needed, pour high quality compressor oil to refill to the top raised line on the dipstick.

Drain the pump tank condensation daily.
i.
If system was not depressurized after last use,
the pump will be pressurized and
compressed air will be released when draining.
ii.
Place a drain pan underneath the pump drain valve.
iii.
Open the pump tank drain valve slowly by turning the handle 90° counterclockwise (to
be pointing towards the floor) to release the compressed air and liquid from the pump
tank. Allow pump to empty into the drain pan.
