Wood Stud Installation
Step 3.
Once the center of the stud has been
located and the wall plate is level, use a
pencil and mark the mounting hole
locations.
Before proceeding, remove the wall plate from the cover plate.
The end of the wall plate with the two
closely spaced holes should be pointing
up when mounting the wall plate. The flat
side of the wall plate will mount flush to
the wall.
Step 1.
Determine the mount’s location on the
wall.
Step 2.
Use a stud finder to locate the nearest
wall stud closest to your desired
location.

Step 4.
Using a 1/8” drill bit and drill, pre-drill the
pilot holes where the first mark was made.
