Changing System Settings (
SYSTEM
)
The System menu contains the following menus:
Analog Output Calibration, Restore Factory Defaults,
Totalizer, Backlight, CapTouch Buttons Operation
Mode, Information, and Internal Calibration
.
Note:
The Analog Output Calibration menu is
available only if the option is installed.
Analog Output Calibration
(
AOUTCAL
)
To perform the analog output calibration, it is
recommended to use a milliamp meter with a
resolution of at least 0.1 µA to measure the output
current. The values saved internally during this
procedure are used for scaling the 4-20 mA output in
the
Setup
menu.
4-20 mA Output Calibration Procedure
1. Go to the
Advanced Features
menu and
navigate to the
SYSTEM
menu and press
Enter. Navigate to
AOUTCAL
and press Enter.
2. The display will show 4 mA. The mA
output should now be close to 4 mA. Enter the
actual value read by the digital mA meter on
the bottom display and press Enter.
3. The display will show 20 mA. The mA
output should now be close to 20 mA. Enter
the actual value read by the digital mA meter
on the bottom display and press Enter.
4. The will now calculate the calibration
factors and store them.
5. Press Menu to exit.
Disabling the Totalizer (
TOTAL
)
The totalizer can be disabled using the
SYSTEM
-

will behave as a PD6908 process meter. Refer to the
LIM6908 instruction manual for instructions about
programming the process meter.
