Preparing the pneumatic tool
22
Connecting the compressed air hose
You can connect the pneumatic tool to a compressor or to a
compressed air system. This mode is only permissible under the
following prerequisites:
The operating pressure of the compressed air system or of the
compressor should never exceed 10% of the pneumatic tool's
maximum operating pressure, which is 8.3 bar.
If using compressed air systems with higher pressure, a pressure
reducer with downstream pressure relief valve must be installed
in the compressed air line.
The compressed air must be filtered, dry, and oiled with
PREBENA special nailer oil.
A compressed air maintenance unit must be mounted on the
discharges for the air line to the pneumatic tool. This unit should
have a filter, a water separator, and an oiler.
If an oiler is not mounted, then the length of the air line can only
be 10 m maximum. Otherwise you must add three to five drops of
PREBENA special nailer oil daily, directly into the air intake of the
pneumatic tool, prior to starting operation.
The compressed air system must also be capable of maintaining
the operating pressure at the desired air level of air consumption.
The diameter of the permanently laid air piping must be at least
19 mm.
The connection for the pneumatic tool must be fitted with a quick-
fitting coupling with NW 7.2, and with at least 6.5 mm inner
diameter.
