Installation & Operation Manual
ROLLER REPLACEMENT
STEP 1. Provide a support to be placed underneath the
Toeplate to support the Outer Frame when the
unit is extended approximately six inches.
STEP 2. Swing the Lift Gate unit out of the vehicle and
engage the lock pin. Extend the Lift Gate Unit
until the Toeplate comes to rest on the support.
Remove the fuse from the Switch Control Box.
STEP 3. Remove the four 1/4-20NC Lock Nuts retaining
the two bottom Clevis Mounts. This dis-engages
the Outer Frame from the Actuator.
STEP 4. Manually lift the Outer Frame to until the Rollers,
at the top and bottom, are completely exposed.
Re-support the Toeplate to hold the Outer Frame
in this raised position.
STEP 5. Remove the old Rollers and wipe the Roller Axles
clean. Remove any nicks or burrs on the axles.
STEP 6. Apply a light machine lubricant to the four Roller
Axles and install the new Rollers. Wipe off
excess lubricant.
STEP 7. Supporting the Outer Frame, remove the support
underneath the Toeplate. Lower the Outer Frame
to re-engage the Rollers in the Inner and Outer
Frames. Continue to lower until the Toeplate
rests on the first support.
STEP 8. Re-attach the bottom Clevis Mounts and secure
with the four 10-24NC Lock Nuts.
STEP 9. Re-install the 30A Fuse into the Control Box.
Activate the Unit to raise the Toeplate off the
support. Remove the support and test operation
of the unit. Insure that all guarding is in place.
