LiftGate™
A properly maintained machine ensures trouble free and risk free operation. Regular
maintenance of your
PowerMate LiftGate
will ensure that it is always capable of
performing at peak efficiency resulting in less downtime caused by preventable repairs.
After every twenty-five hours of operation, ensure the following:
1. The Base Plate is securely anchored. Tighten Bolts if necessary.
2. Wire Looms at hinge points are not twisted or encumbered during swing out
movement.
3. Apply non-flammable silicone lubricant (EG. LPS) to hinge points. Wipe off
excess lubricant.
4. Check up/down operation of Unit. Drive mechanism should ratchet when Unit
reaches the retracted position. Drive motor should stop during extension
operation when the Toeplate makes contact with any surface.
5. Look for excessive movement between Inner and Outer Aluminum Frames.
6. Apply silicone lubricant (EG. LPS) to Top Urethane Rollers. Wipe off excess
oil.
7.
Check that Toe Plate is secure and not bent.
8. If Cylinder Attachment is installed:
- Check operation of Ratchet Tie Down Unit and Strap.
- Check to see if Eye-Bolt for Strap is bent indicating over tightening.
- Check to see if Strap is cut or frayed. If so, replace immediately.
If Aluminum Strapbar option is installed:
- Check to see if Strapbar Mounting Hardware is secure.
- Check to see if Load Binding Strap is cut or frayed. If so, replace
immediately.
- Check to see if Strap Locking Handle is secure.
9. Ensure Actuator Guard and Roller Guards are in place and secure.
10.
Ensure Mandatory Decals are in place.
After every twelve months, ensure the following:
1. Inspect complete assembly for wear and stress. Repair as required.
2. Inspect Actuator Clevis Mounts and Bolts for wear and stress. Replace
where necessary.
3. Check wiring integrity. Replace where necessary.
4.
Replace Mounting Hardware as required.
