• Ensure that the gas cartridge is completely empty opening the gas regulator. Ceck that
there is no gas escaping from the device; shake it to check for liquids inside the catridge.
• Remove the appliance from the cartridge holder by turning it anti-clockwise and remove
the used cartridge.
• Proceed as instructed above in the section 'Fitting the cartridge'.
• This appliance may only be used in well-ventilated areas. and not near any heat sources
• Set the air flow regulator ring as required. The higher the air flow, the hotter the flame.

• Open the gas regulator by a quarter turn in the anti-clockwise direction and immediately
ignite the burner using a gas lighter as shown (Fig. E)
• Adjust the required output of the appliance by turning the gas regulator in the (+) plus or
(-) minus direction.
• If the appliance is cold, shaken or if the appliance is operated with a new gas cartridge,
an irregular, unstable flame can be produced or ‘flaring’ may occur. This is normal and
does not indicate a fault. The flame will stabilise within 2• 3 minutes after the appliance
has warmed up.
• Turn off the appliance immediately if it performs unusually during operation. It is normal
for the bottom of the cartridges to cool down after prolonged periods of operation.
• Always close the gas regulator by turning clockwise after using the appliance. Remember
that when the appliance is being used its parts heat up and can cause burns, even if only
used for short periods of time. Allow the device to cool down before storing it.
