Caution!
Read the safety instructions prior to fitting the gas cartridge,
especially the section "Before fitting the cartridge".
CAUTION!
To prevent leaks once the cartridge has been perforated it is
forbidden to unscrew the cartridge holder until the gas has
been completely used up.
Fitting the cartridge (Fig. A, B, C, D)
• Fit the cartridge outdoors or in a well-ventilated room, well away from any sources of heat
(Fig. A).
• Only use cartridges as described above.
• Position the cartridge holder vertically on a stable surface.
• Insert the cartridge in an upright position into the cartridge holder.
• Ensure that the rubber seal is intact in the appliance housing.
• Ensure that the gas regulator is closed (Fig. C).
• Hold the cartridge holder and screw the appliance into the cartridge holder (Fig. D).
• Check for leakages. To do this, hold the appliance with a gas cartridge fitted under water
for at least two minutes. Bubbles indicate a leakage.
• If gas escapes from the appliance (smell of gas or bubbles in the leak test), take the
appliance outdoors immediately to a well-ventilated location away from sources of ignition
where the leak can be safely detected and repaired. Never check for leaks using a flame;
always use a soapy solution! Keep the appliance under close observance until the leaked
gas has dissipated completely.
• Check whether the gas is being released properly by briefly opening the regulator.
