8. Network failure automatic mode (only S6-ATS mode)
8.1 Installation
The installation of the GUARDIAN S6-ATS is very simple. Both Start up
maneuvers controller and the transfer relay are built into the generator itself so it is
not necessary any external box. Simply insert the generator between the grid line
and home lines to be protected against a power failure.
Example connections protecting a small home or premises (maximum total
consumption less than 5000W).
DANGER: The connections are extremely simple, yet they must be carried out
by a qualified technician, never try to do this work if you have no knowledge or
training for it.
NOTE: As shown in the diagram energy from network passes at all times
through the generator before reaching the home or premises. The passage of
energy through the generator is limited to 5500W to avoid damaging it. If this
energy passage through the generator is exceeded the thermal breaker pass to
OFF for protect the generator.
If the generator is installed in a home or premises where it is used more than
5500W, it would not cover all uses. In this case select the lines which will not have
a supply failure, usually lighting applications, safety equipment and protect these
lines only (not exceeding 5500W). The remaining lines will be treated
independently without going through the generator and not being protected by it
