15. TROUBLESHOOTING
Should the problems persist, contact an Authorised Polti Service Centre (see www.polti.com for the up-to-date list) or Customer
Services.
PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION
The appliance does not turn on. No power.
Boiler switched off.
Check that the appliance has been disconnec-
ted from the mains, as indicated in Section 1.
Turn on the boiler as indicated in Chapter 1.
The appliance is pressurized but little
steam comes out.
No water in the boiler.
Flexible hose not inserted correctly.
Steam adjustment dial set to the
minimum.
Steam lock activated.
Fill the boiler as indicated in Chapter 1.
Correctly insert the flexible hose all the way
down, as indicated in Chapter 1.
Adjust the position of the dial for the desired
increase.
Disconnect the steam lock from the steam hose
handle.
Steam is dispensed mixed with drops of
water. The steam hoses are cold. Direct the steam jet onto a cloth to heat up
the tubes.
Loss of steam or drops of water between
the connection of the accessories. The seals are damaged. Replace the seals, as indicated in Chapter 11.
Accessories are difficult to assemble. The seals produce friction.
The blocking button is not in the cor-
rect position.
Lubricate the seals with silicone grease or
Vaseline, or alternatively with a small amount
of vegetable oil.
Turn the blocking button to the correct posi-
tion as indicated in Chapter 2.
