• Setting the Image Resolution
Picture resolution refers to the number of pixels in a digital photo. The
higher the resolution, the more pixels in your photo and the more memory
the photo uses. A higher resolution produces a higher quality digital photo
when printed.
1. Turn the camera on.
NOTE:
To turn on the camera, slide the Power switch following the arrow and then
release. In about five seconds, you will hear a beep sound and the camera is
ready to take pictures. Slide the Power switch again to turn the camera off.
2. Press the Mode button once, and then the “HI” icon blinks on the
status LCD.
3. Press the Select button while “HI” is blinking, and the “MED” icon
blinks on the status LCD. Press the Select button again, and the
“LOW” icon blinks on the status LCD.
4. Press the shutter button to confirm. Also it can stop blinking
automatically.
The following are the approximate number of pictures you can expect the
camera to hold at each setting based on the 16MB internal memory.
“HI”
: High 1600 x 1200;
approximately 30 pictures
“MED”
: Medium 1024 x 768; approximately 105 pictures
“LOW”
: Low 800 x 600;
approximately 157 pictures
NOTE
Scene complexity affects a picture’s file size. For example, the file size of a
picture with trees in autumn is larger than that of the blue sky at the same
resolution and quality setting. Therefore, the number of pictures you can store
in the internal memory may vary.
