INSTALLATION

Heater CLEARANCES

      CAUTION: If you install the heater in a home garage

• heater pilot and burner must be at least 18" above floor.

• locate heater where moving vehicle will not hit it.

For convenience and efficiency, install heater

• where there is easy access for operation, inspection and service

• in coldest part of room

• If this appliance is to be installed directly on carpeting, tile or other combsutible material, other than 

wood flooring, the appliance must be installed on a metal or wood panel extending the full width and 

depth of the appliance.

Minimum Clearances For Side Combustible Material, Side Wall and Ceiling

A. Clearances from the side of the heater cabinet to any combustible material and wall should

follow diagram in Figure 3. 

B. Clearances from the top of the heater opening to the ceiling should not be less than 36".

   WARNING: 

Maintain the minimum clearances. If possible, provide greater clearances from the 

   

floor, ceiling, and adjoining wall than required.

    

  

  

   WARNING: 

Seal any fresh air vents or ash clean-out doors located on the floor or wall of fire

   

place to prevent drafting caused by pilot outage or sooting. Use a heat-resistant sealant. Do 

   

not seal chimney flue damper.

CHECK GAS TYPE

Make sure your gas supply is correct for your log set. If supply is not correct, do not install heater. Call 

dealer where you purchased heater for proper gas log set.
