Manual Backlight Control
This mode is useful when the m40L/m46L is in a room with no outside windows and
unchanging ambient light levels.
1 Set the
BACKLIGHT CONTROL MODE
to
MANUAL
.
2 Adjust the
BACKLIGHT INTENSITY
to a comfortable brightness. A lower brightness
will increase backlight life.
Caution:
Changing a failed backlight is a job for a qualified service technician. It is done at
the factory, not in the field. Contact your Planar dealer for more information.
3 If you want to have finer control over the backlight intensity range or dim your
panel more than the default, check the
BACKLIGHT EXTENDED RANGE
box. If this
option is checked, the backlight intensity ranges from 0-100, which gives you the
full possible range of backlight intensities.
