Appendix B • Accounting Setup

Enabling
Passwords

You can enable or disable the account password protection. Enabling
passwords allows you to protect each account from unauthorized access.

NOTE:

Disabling the account password feature does not disable the supervisor

password. Refer to

Changing the Lock Code or Password

Chapter 4

of this

guide for more information.

1. Press the

Options

key.

2. Select

Setup Menu

then

Accounting Setup

3. Select

Enable Passwords

. The display tells you if passwords are

enabled or disabled.

4. Select

Enabled

Disabled

, whichever is appropriate.

5. Press

Enter

. If you selected Enable and there is no current supervisor

password, the display prompts you to enter one.

6. Key in a four-digit, numeric password.
7. Press

Enter

. The display prompts you to confirm the supervisor

password by keying it in again. Do so and press
