Situation: 2 burials having transceivers with pIEpS iproBE-
Support (pIEpS VECTor/DSp/DSp Tour/frEErIDE). Two rescuers
are equipped with the pIEpS safety system: rescuer a with DSp
Tour, electronic probe iproBE oNE, shovel pro. rescuer B with
frEErIDE, electronic probe iproBE oNE, shovel pro.
Rescuer A is the first who gets a signal and follows the direction
indication to victim A.
Rescuer B is unpacking his shovel PIEPS PRO and his electronic
PIEPS iPROBE ONE from the safety gear compartment of his back-
pack PIEPS MYOTIS, gets ready to work and hurries to rescuer A.
After successfully pinpointing with his 3-antenna transceiver PIEPS
DSP Tour (only one maximum) rescuer A starts grid-shaped probing
with the electronic PIEPS iPROBE ONE. The permanent acoustic
signal of the iPROBE ONE and the LED-signal indication validates
the probe hit (< 50cm). Automatically the transmitter (with iPROBE
ONE support) of the victim A is deactivated.
Automatically the PIEPS DSP Tour from rescuer A is guiding him
directly to the next buried victim. Now the display shows “only
1 victim”.
While rescuer A is taking the probe from rescuer B, following the
direction indication of his PIEPS DSP Tour guiding to the next vic-
tim B, rescuer B starts to dig and recover victim A.
Rescuer A now is hurrying to victim B. After pinpointing he is pro-
bing again until he has found the victim. The PIEPS iPROBE ONE
again validates the hitting of the victim. He immediately starts to
dig out and to recover the victim.

Fastest possible reception of a first signal due to the all-around ran-
ge of the PIEPS DSP Tour – most accurate pinpointing due to the 3
antenna system from PIEPS, validation of a target hit while probing
using the PIEPS iPROBE ONE – indication of the next strongest signal
on the PIEPS DSP Tour – efficient and easy shovelling using shovel
PIEPS PRO.

The two rescuers organize themselves (see “IN CASE OF AN EMER-
GENCY”) and start searching using the given search strip with.
