4.11.3.2 “LAN SETTINGS” submenu
In the “LAN SETTINGS” submenu, you can view the (system) IP address settings of Ether -
net interfaces LAN1, LAN2, LAN3.1/LAN3.2 and modify them, if necessary.
Before changing the IP settings:
• Switch the redundant control system to the “STOP” state using the mode selector
switch of the PRIMARY controller.
Please note:
If you are operating your application with just one RFC 4072R (“SingleMode” redun -
dancy status), configure the physical IP address at the respective Ethernet interface
in the “LAN SETTINGS” submenu.
If you are operating your application with two RFC 4072R controllers, configure the
system IP address at the respective Ethernet interface in the “LAN SETTINGS” sub -
menu. In this case, the system IP address at the respective Ethernet interface is dis -
played in the “LANX SETTINGS” submenu for both controllers.
For information on physical and system IP addresses, please refer to Section 4.12.2 .
Alternatively, you can implement the system IP address settings of the Ethernet inter -
faces in PLCnext Engineer or via the controller WBM.
For information on configuring the system IP addresses in PLCnext Engineer, please
refer to Section 7.2.5 .
Information on configuring the system IP addresses via the WBM is available in the
PLCnext Info Center .
Delivery state In the delivery state, the preset (system) IP address on Ethernet interface LAN1 is
192.168.1.10.

Changing the (system) IP
address
To change the (system) IP address settings of an Ethernet interface, proceed as follows:
• Tap the “LANX SETTINGS” menu of the Ethernet interface whose (system) IP address
settings you wish to change.
