11.1.2 Replacing the fan module
NOTE: Device defect due to the fan module being replaced during operation
If you replace the fan module during operation, this can cause a device defect on the
controller.
• Before replacing the fan module, switch off the controller and remove it from the
DIN rail.
• To replace the fan module, proceed as described in Section 10.9, “Removing the fan
module” and Section 5.2, “Mounting the fan module” .
11.1.3 Replacing the SD card
Please note:
• Only ever replace the SD card of the BACKUP controller.
• If you wish to replace the SD card of the PRIMARY controller, you must first switch
over the redundancy roles.
To replace the SD card of the BACKUP controller, proceed as follows:
• If necessary:
Switch over the redundancy roles, as described in Section 4.11.7.1 .
• • Disconnect the power to the BACKUP controller.
• Remove the SD card of the BACKUP controller, see Section 5.4 .
• Insert the new SD card, see Section 10.7 .
• Switch on the power supplies.
⇒ Once the BACKUP controller is fully initialized, the PRIMARY and BACKUP controllers
are synchronized with each other. All the application-specific contents of the PRIMARY
controller SD card are transferred to the BACKUP controller SD card.
