Changing the number of rings
You can change the number of times your telephone rings before your answering
machine answers a call.
Press
R
, then press

until you reach
ANSW SETUP
. Press

until you reach RINGS, then press

to select 2 RINGS, 3 RINGS, 4 RINGS, 5 RINGS, or TOLL
SAVER, then press

to confirm your choice.

to exit menu mode.
The Save function
TOLL SAVER
This is used when you call into your answering machine by remote control (see
“Calling into your answering machine by remote control”
on page 22).
When
TOLL SAVER
is selected, you can tell if a new message has been received
since you last rang in.
If your answering machine has received messages, it will answer on the
third
ring.
If no messages have been recorded, it will answer on the
fifth
ring.
Switching message record on or off
If you do
not
want callers to leave message, switch off the message record
function (
RECORD OFF
).
If you want callers to be able to leave messages again, switch on the incoming
message record function (
RECORD ON
).
Your Onis Vox is delivered with the message record function set to ON.
