3.8. Connecting The Pump To The

Electronic Drive Unit TCP 2000

Electrical connections must be carried out in
accordance with local regulations. Voltage and
frequency values on the TCP 2000 rating plate
must concur with mains voltage and mains
frequency values.

Connect the terminal box 53 with the flanged-on X1 round
plug into the mating plug on the pump.

Connect the signal wire to the D-Sub connector at the X3B
socket of the TCP 2000.

Connect the motor cable 52 to the power terminal X1A

WARNING

When the operating voltage is provided and the

main switch switched "ON" the pump runs a self
test so as to check the supply voltage.

Only unplug the connector to the electronic
drive unit when the pump is completely at rest
and the electronic drive unit has been
disconnected from the mains.
Voltages of more than 130 Veff can occur on a

running down pump on the open electric
connection.
There is a danger of an electric shock from
touching the contacts.

For further details please refer to Operating Instructions
PU 0056 BN for the Electronic Drive Unit TCP 2000.

Controlling the direction of rotation

Exchanging two phases when attaching the pump

cable leads to a wrong direction of rotation.
Pay attention to the markings (U-U/V-V/W-W) at
the pump cable when attaching the pump.

CAUTION

Characteristics for the correct direction of rotation:

Open vacuum flange.

Switch on pump;
– in case of correct direction of rotation an air flow esca-

pes at the exhaust flange which is decreased after
sealing of the vacuum flange.

– the blank flange cannot be loosened after sucking in at

the vacuum flange.
