3 Maintenance
The customer is responsible for product maintenance, waste treatment and management and product
disposal, according to local regulations.
3.1 Pump overhaul by the customer
Pfeiffer Vacuum supplies spare parts. The results obtained after repair do not involve the responsibility
of Pfeiffer Vacuum.

How to contact us
Product overhauls must be carried out by personnel with manufacturer training. Contact our

To perform the pump overhaul, the user must:
► Be trained in the relevant safety regulations for ionizing environment.
► Have the tools to disassemble and reassemble the pump.
► Have a test bench to check the performance of the pump after repair.
3.2 Pump overhaul by Pfeiffer Vacuum service center
In case of contamination, Pfeiffer Vacuum is currently unable to decontaminate and recycle such mate-
rial without risk to the safety of our staff.
A certificate of decontamination in accordance with regulations will be required prior to any action.

to the Service Centre (see chapter “Service solutions
by Pfeiffer Vacuum”).
The decontamination process may result in degradation of the product parts. These parts will be re-
placed by new parts
at the customer’s expense in addition to product maintenance
