3. DMX
The Quadro-A-DMX flash light can be controlled using the DMX Bus.
The flash light uses a dimmer value (Footprint=1).
The DMX data bus time out is monitored. If for a period of 2 secs no DMX data transfer takes place
(Startcode = 0x00), the flash light goes into "No function" mode.
The DMX address is set via a DIP switch. The DIP switch is read once at each switching on.
The DIP switch 10 must be at 'OFF' = DMX (delivered state).
4. RDM
The Quadro-A-DMX flash light is RDM capable.
For convenience the minimum requirement of the RDM-parameters (in acc. with E1.20 - 20 ESTA) and a
number of other RDM parameters and product-specific parameters are supported.
The manufacturer ID allocated by ESTA is "Pf" or
50, 66
hex
.
The t able of supported PIDs is given in the Appendix. All PIDs that are not listed in this table will be
answered with NR_UNKNOWN_PID.
Note:
The DMX starting address (PID DMX_START_ADDRESS 0x00F0) must be reset after each power switch
on.
The DIP switch 10 must be at 'OFF' = DMX (delivered state).
5. PDG Protocol
The RS485 interface enables the flash light to be controlled in half duplex mode using the PDG protocol. The
answer is delayed by approximately 3ms. The changeover time to receive in the communication equipment
should not significantly exceed 2ms.
The data point table is described in the appendix.
The data protocol is described in the document M 30 261.
The DIP switch 10 must be at 'ON' = PDG.
Note:
The bit "device identify" (parameter 41.1) also shows the status, i.e. it is not automatically deleted internally.
