Additional requirements
11.2.
The cable screw joint is intended for round cable cross-sections and an outer diameter of 6.5 mm to 13.5 mm. If
cables with other diameters or shapes are to be used, then other suitable cable screw joints must be used.
During installation make sure that the cable(s) is/are secured against pulling and twisting. Please note: the de-
vices are not intended for mobile use.
Available cable diameters and necessary power supply capacities for the cables can be derived from the tech-
nical data.
12. Installation
The mechanical dimensions and the drilling template for fastening can be found in Illustration 6 - Housing.
The mounting bracket for the standard device includes extra drill holes to allow for a horizontally offset mounting
of the lamps in 45° increments, see Illustration 7 - Installation of the
mounting bracket
.
Together with the op-
tion to switch of sectors and an optional blind, this allows for the light to be channeled based on the specific
installation situation.
The optical warning light must be installed in such a way that it can be easily recognized by the people it is to
warn.
Despite the strong luminous output of the signal, it should be ensured that the environment around the warning
light allows for the greatest possible contrast (brightness difference). Rear shine through should also be avoid-
ed, but can however be adjusted using a blind. Adherence to these guidelines ensures better visibility of the
warning signal.
No two warning lights should be mounted immediately next to one another and operated simultaneously, as
they can potentially impact one another and cause a false alarm.
