the operator should retrieve the logged fault codes
and the operator should reference the appropriate
information. in order to identify the nature of the
event. The operator should log any observation that
could have caused the lamp to light.

Configuration Parameters
System configuration parameters affect the emissions
of the engine or the power of the engine. System
configuration parameters are programmed at the
factory. Normally, system configuration parameters
would never change through the life of the engine.
System configuration parameters must be
reprogrammed if an Electronic Control Module (ECM)
is replaced. System configuration parameters are not
reprogrammed if the ECM software is changed.
