Taking pictures

How to take pictures
Pictures are taken by carrying out the following steps.

Put the batteries in.

Install the memory card.
(see setup guide for how to insert the memory card)
A memory card should be loaded or replaced in a
power off state.

Move the power switch to the right to put on the power
supply.

Rotate the mode dial so as to line up the capture mode
symbol [
] with the black line.
Please set up the date and time by referring to the set
up guide when the date and time screen is displayed.

languages other than English on the LCD monitor.

Taking pictures while looking at the LCD monitor
When the display button is pressed, the subject is displayed
on the LCD monitor. Please take care, however, as battery
consumption is substantial when pictures are taken while
displaying the subject on the LCD monitor.

Confirm the LCD panel. When nothing is set, the LCD
panel displays the battery symbol and the number of
pictures that can be taken.
