Read all the safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may
result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. Save all the warnings and instructions for future reference.
The term “power tool” listed in all the warnings below refers to your orbit sander tool.
1) Work area
a) Keep the working area clean and well lit. Messy and dark surfaces creates risks of accidents
b) Do not use power tools in potentially explosive areas, for example near flammable liquids, gases or dust
Power tools create sparks that can ignite dust or smoke.
c) Keep children away when using the power tool. Distraction can result in you losing control.
2) Electric safety
a) The cable connection must match the electrical outlet. Never change the outlet in any way. Do not use
adapters with earthed power tools. Unmodified outlets or plugs reduce the risk of an electric shock.
b) Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces such as pipes, radiators and refrigerators. There is an increased
risk of electric shocks if your body is earthed.
c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water that enters a power tool increases the risk of
electric shock.
d) Do not damage the cord. Never use the cord to carry the power tool. Keep the cord away from heat, oil,
sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cables increase the risk of electric shock.
e) Use an extension cord that is suitable for outdoor use when you are using the power tool outside. Use of a
cord that is suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shocks.
f) If it is unavoidable to use the power tool in a wet condition , use a protected power supply with a residual
current. Usage of a residual current reduces the risk of electric shocks.
3) Personal safety
a) Pay attention, see what you do and use common sense when using the power tool. Do not use the power
tool when you are tired or affected by drugs, alcohol or medications. A moment of inattention when using
the power tool can result in serious injury.
b) Use safety equipment. Always eye protection. Safety equipment such as face mask, protective shoes,
hairnet, hearing protection used under appropriate conditions reduce injuries.
c) Avoid unintentional starts. Make sure the circuit-breaker is off before connecting it to the power source
and/or the battery pack, picks up or carries the tool. Carrying the tool with your finger on the circuit-breaker
or power tools that have the circuit-breaker in the ON-mode can result in accidents.
d) Remove eventual adjustment key or wrench before turning on the tool. A wrench or a key that is left on a
rotating part of the tool can result in personal injury.
e) Do not extend over. Keep the right foot and balance all the time. This enables better control of the power
tool in unexpected situations.
f) Dress properly. Do not use loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothes and gloves away from the
moving parts. Loose clothing, jewelry or long hair can get stuck in moving parts.
g) If devices are provided with a connection for a vacuum-clean or collecting systems, make sure that they
are connected and used correctly. Use of these devices can decrease dust-related hazards.
