„The measuring device is ready“:
The device is connected and you can begin measuring.
„The instrument has been switched off“:
This message means that the colorStriker is no longer operational. In this case, you must restart the unit. Follow the instructions in
section
2.8. Notes on the restart.
In the middle of the status display is a display of the last calibration of your screen. We recommend periodically recalibrating your
screen. The calibration is a prerequisite for optimum color reproduction on the screen.
5. Functions of the software
This section describes how to use the software during the measurement.
5.1 How to measure the color of objects
After reading how to use the colorimeter and conducting a few exercises, you can now start with the correct measurement.
Press the A button to measure the color of your object / area and the B button to enter the reference value and desired value. After
you have measured, there is an audible tone and the measured color will appear immediately on the screen.
5.2 Entering the reference values
Here you can enter the reference values in the colorStriker software. If, for example, you have a Lab value and you want to see how
this looks, type the value in the window, and it appears on the right side of your screen.
5.3 Saving values
To save the measurement result made press the „Save A“ or „Save A + B“ to save the results and reference value together. Additional
information for the measurement can be entered in the text box above. Saved measurements can be recalled by clicking on „Archive“.
5.4 Not using the colorimeter
If you don’t use the colorStriker but the connection between PC and measuring tool is active the device will make a acoustic tone after
5 minutes. The device will not shutdown while being connected with the PC, only if you close the application.
5.5 Turning the device off
To turn the device off, press the A and B button simultaneously a few seconds, until the lights go out.
