3. The colorStriker should now be connected to the device via Bluetooth to your computer. To set up the colorimeter please click on
the Bluetooth icon in the bottom left of the colorStriker software. The search will automatically search for new devices. Once your
Bluetooth connection is activated and the device is found, a window appears with a small box on your screen. In this field,
enter the PIN code of colorStrikers, the default setting is 0000.

2.7.2 Secondary compounds
When the device is connected to your computer via Bluetooth and the software is installed, you only need to turn on the device, as
described above. You do this with the B button to start the software and begin to measuring.
2.8 Reconnecting
After a period of nonuse and the device is not paired with a PC via Bluetooth it will switch off automatically. If you want to use the
device again, press the B button, the red LED will light up. You will also need press the reconnect button in the status bar of the
colorStriker-software in order to reconnect.
3. Use of the colorStriker
colorStriker is a very user-friendly truecolormeter. To enjoy its use and produce accurate results, please read the following guidelines.
3.1 Using the measurement help instrument
Included in the packaging is a measuring instrument to help obtain the optimal measuring distance. This tool will also help you
develop a feel for the device and the type of measurements. It is designed as a cradle for the colorStriker allowing for an ideal
measuring distance of 15 mm and a circular measuring area of 18 mm. To use, place the tool facedown on the area to be measured
making sure it sits flat and securely on the area. Place the colorStriker on the tool. Now you can start measuring.
Press the A or B button quickly so that the white LEDs light up and the device will automatically trigger.The B button measures a
reference value, and the A button measures your sample. To interrupt the measurement process briefly press the A or B button, you
can then start again.
In order to become familiar with using the device you should practice measuring the same area with the both buttons. After the
measurement, the values will be immediately visible on your screen. Moreover, acquaint yourself with the measurement using the right
angled orientation / proper attitude of the device in hand to achieve optimal results. For as touching the device in the measurement
with the measuring means, so the device should also be held later in the hand.
