4.4.4 Serial

line

connection

The serial line of the SPD can be configured as either RS-422 or as RS-485 depending on
how the connection is made. In both cases you must use termination resistors (150

Ω

). If

more converters are connected on the same line, the last node must be terminated using the
drive-side internal termination (+Br, -Br), as shown in the following figure, for both
configurations. For pin setting, refer to chapter “Connectors and terminal boards”.

4.4.5 Frequency

input/output connection

The frequency input/output connector X3 (RS-422) can be configured by the software in
different functional modes by using the binary parameters b42.0 and b42.5. To this purpose,
refer to chapter “Functions and operating modes”, paragraph “Frequency input/output”.
