Be sure to firmly secure the patient with the front and
back belts. Pass the restraint belts through handles
(all four) on the transfer mattress (see p. 16).

After placing a patient on the base
(back section base and leg section
base) of the stretcher, use the two
pairs of restraint belts to secure the
patient to the transfer mattress and
stretcher. Otherwise, the stretcher
may slip and the patient may fall
off and get injured.

Depress the caster lock pedal (green) to unlock the
casters, move the stretcher slightly away from the
bed, and raise the transfer board (see p. 14).

When operating the transfer board,
place the patient’s hands together
on their abdomen. Otherwise,
a hand may get caught by the
transfer board and get injured.

Move the stretcher. When transporting the stretcher,
raise the center wheel locking pedal to switch it ON for
more stable stretcher movement and easier control.
To move sideways, switch OFF the center wheel (see
p. 11).
