Step 18 a - Assembly of the balance rod tube
The balance rod tubes are standard part of the PIXY Crane
System. They allow dynamic movement of the remote
mount in the top as well as bottom view.
NOTE !
Early PIXY Cranes have a wire instead
of rods. The wire shall be hung­
between the cable pulley wire and the
remote mount wire.
a) Always hang­ the 1.6 m rod on the wire of the cable
pulley first.
b) Now extend the 1.6 m rod with remaining­ 1.3 m balance
rods up to the remote mount. Hang­ up the rods on
each other and fix them with the safety pins.
c) Mount the balance rod supports for rods on the vertical
bracing­ supports (if not already done).
d) Lead the balance rod tubes throug­h the balance rod
supports.
e) Hang­ the foremost balance rod into the carabine of the
remote mount. Level the remote mount with turnbuck‑
le.
