Cleaning and Maintenance
The hydro wizard operates largely maintenance-free. Should its energy
consumption increase, this is usually caused by calcium deposits on
the bearings. This effect can vary greatly, depending on the water
chemistry.
To clean the bearings they must be submerged in a vinegar solution.

Mix 500ml of white vinegar with 10 l of water in a bucket.

Set the pump in Stream mode at 2% power.

Fully submerge the pump in the solution.
 Leave the pump running for one hour.
 Now discard the solution and run the pump for one more hour
in clean fresh water.
This protocol should be performed once a year as a precaution. Check
the condition of the cable frequently to make sure that movement or
animals have not damaged it.
General Cleaning
At least once a week (or more often, if necessary), remove plants or
other objects that have been sucked onto the intake. Sediment that has
settled on the housing can be removed with a soft brush.
Do not clean the pump, or parts in the dish washer. The
plastics are not dish washer safe.
